Rare estate find: A dual-system lot of Vega Electronics Professional II Model 57 wireless microphone gear. Based in Santa Ana, CA, Vega was the premier choice for Hollywood film sets and major broadcasts from the 1970s through the 1990s.
This lot includes:
• (2) Model 57 Receivers: VHF high band (170.325 MHz & 169.425 MHz).
• (2) Matching Bodypack Transmitters: Labeled “Mic 1” & “Mic 2.”
• Historical Documentation: Includes the original 1973 "Facts" brochure with handwritten production notes, the multi-model instruction manual, and 1999 factory service/repair paperwork from Vega.
• Accessories: Original antennas and assorted adapter cables/connectors.
Provenance: Formerly part of the inventory at Brillig Productions in Pacific Palisades, CA. This gear has true Southern California production roots.
Condition: Vintage professional equipment. The units are cosmetically used but complete. Not recently tested and sold as-is for historical collection, display, or parts. Note: These VHF frequencies are legacy and may not be compliant for modern wireless broadcast use.
