1966 Ludwig Jazz Combo 6-lug piccolo snare drum in good condition. Original finish was flaking so I sanded and repainted it - 9 thin coats of black enamel. This drum was misused by original owner. They used the air vent as a mount and this resulted in some damage to the air vent hole. I sanded the damaged area and applied a small amount of wood filler to smooth out the area. The last 3 photos are the “before” pics. The 3rd from last photo will make you cringe! It’s a photo from the original seller/owner in his listing on Marketplace showing the snare “mounted” to the bass drum. Yikes! All other photos, besides the last 3, show the drum in its current condition.
The bearing edges and seam are in excellent condition. Lugs, strainer and hardware are in very good condition. Very little pitting. Original heads- batter head is intact, snare side head is torn. Overall, drum is in good condition for its age.
