For sale is an Altec 201B with the cardioid C 70 capsule which sounds fantastic! This particular microphone was actually produced by AKG for Altec back in the 1970s, so it's a quality microphone and the build quality is no joke. I have also tested this microphone against two others with the same capsule, and all of them are performing remarkably the same, which tells me they are functioning properly. No issues whatsoever, and it runs off phantom power so it is ready to go with any modern interface. Expect a detailed microphone that is well-balanced, I would assume these were designed to be pretty linear in terms of frequency response.
