The MD504 is a traditional European A-style mandolin with “teardrop” body and oval sound hole. This style offers a slightly rounder, warmer tone than f-hole mandolins—a bit less cutting and percussive, but still usable for almost any style of playing.
The construction is carved solid spruce top and maple back/sides. The vintage classic finish with ivoroid rosette and binding offer distinctive contrast to set off the MD504 onstage.
Great looks, great tone—this is a very sharp mandolin at a very reasonable price. And like all Eastmans, it’s well-made and enjoyable to play.
