Up for you consideration is 4001 1973 Rickenbacker bass, Fireglo finish, sn MH 3894. The bass has the coveted early 4001 transition features, front toaster pickup, triangle pearl fret markers. When I found the bass it was a basket case, bad fretless job, messed up electronics with a dead rear pickup and stuck pots, hillbilly repair on one of the tuners & tweaked trussrod. The bass has been refretted, original rear pu was rewound, wiring & jack plate repaired, tuners repaired & functional. The bass plays awesome with comfortable easy action, plays even and perfectly in tune. The Ricky sustains forever, sounds huge and roars. The bass has some wear spots and digs and scars, it’s been played and abused in its life but now it shines and sounds killer with its scars. It comes with original case, nice vintage player Rickenbacker 4001 bass.
