For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1974 Fender Telecaster Deluxe — an excellent, all-original example in what Fender officially termed its "walnut" finish, now affectionately referred to by collectors and players alike as "mocha."
Released in 1971, the Deluxe Telecaster sports two Wide Range humbuckers, a radical departure from the typical single-coil layout that made the Tele famous in the '50s and '60s. Designed by Seth Lover to compete with Gibson's growing popularity in the studio and onstage, the Wide Range is known for its power while also retaining the clarity and chime of a single-coil.
As mentioned, this '74 Deluxe Tele is all-original, from the Wide Range 'buckers to the tuners. Its factory finish shows uniform fading on the top and back, but otherwise only modest playwear: pick marks, a few minor dings on the top and bass side, no buckle rash, and certainly no cracks or signs of repair. The discerning player or collector will be happy to hear this Tele weighs in just under 8lbs.
In addition to its original hardshell case, this guitar comes with its original bridge cover.
Please note: this guitar is here on consignment, so we cannot accept trades toward it. However, feel free to make an offer. Offers with fee-free payment methods (e.g. wire transfer, Zelle, and so on) are preferred.
