This guitar has aged very well, no visible cracks or blemishes. The triangle back and sides are believed to be Brazilian Rosewood. I was told that was around the time that Martin quit using Brazilian Rosewood on their guitars and probably was some left over material they had. This is one of those guitars you keep out because the sound is so good and enjoyable to play
