Offered for sale is an authentic antique Washburn bowl-back mandolin, dating to the late 1890s / early 1900s. This instrument features the original Washburn Chicago label referencing the World’s Columbian Exposition (1893) and Antwerp Exhibition, a desirable hallmark of early Washburn production.

The mandolin retains its original bowl-back construction with multi-rib rosewood, original tailpiece, tuners, and decorative tortoiseshell-style pickguard. The label is intact and clearly legible. Finish shows honest wear consistent with age, with no major cosmetic alterations or refinishing.

Structurally, the instrument appears solid for its age. No obvious top cracks, loose ribs, or replaced parts are visible. Neck, headstock, and bowl are intact. This mandolin has not been modified and has been lightly cleaned only to preserve originality.

This is a fine example of a turn-of-the-century American mandolin, well suited for a collector, period performer, or vintage instrument enthusiast.

Sold as-is due to age. Please review photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions.
