Somewhere along the line, this one lived on a red bass — and it shows.
Note the original paint trace still clinging on near the mounting ear, consistent with Candy Apple Red or Dakota Red, the kind of honest evidence collectors like to see and relic jobs can’t fake.
Correct Precision Bass pickup cover, vintage-correct stamping with the proper arch and side mounting tabs. Removed decades ago so someone could actually play the thing, then tucked away where these always end up.
No dents, no cracks — just real wear, real age, and real Fender history.
