1976 Ibanez 2365B-AS Jazz Bass, one of the rarer variants from Ibanez’s highly sought-after lawsuit era. This is the uncommon AS (Ash Body / Maple Neck & Fretboard) version, built at the legendary FujiGen Gakki factory in Japan.

Most vintage 2365B basses you’ll find are the more common rosewood-board or sunburst models. The AS variant features a beautiful natural ash body, maple fretboard with black block inlays and binding, and was only produced for a short period around 1976.

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition for its age. Light cosmetic wear consistent with a 50-year-old instrument, but no major damage, cracks, or repairs. Electronics function as they should, frets have plenty of life left, and the bass plays great.

Vintage FujiGen-built Ibanez instruments have become increasingly collectible due to their exceptional craftsmanship and historical significance. The 2365B-AS is rarely seen on the market, and this example includes its original case. Many players consider these lawsuit-era Japanese instruments comparable to — and sometimes better built than — many mid-’70s Fender basses.
