1988 Fender Vintage ’57 Precision Bass
What a stunning instrument! True mint condition. Comes in original tweed case with all tags and all case candy in unopened packaging. It looks like this one has almost never been played. These are amazing instruments, made during a time at Fender Fullerton when they were putting tremendous efforts in recreating some of the greatest early electric guitars made. The specs on this P-bass start with a white blond translucent finish (think Mary Kay) over a beautifully grained alder body. A very rare color for this vintage. Add to that the anodized aluminum pickguard and you have a true visual stunner. The neck is maple with the 50’s soft V. The frets are like new and the play, up and down the maple fretboard is smooth and effortless. A Vintage split coil pickup takes you back to that golden age of the P-bass. You’ll think James Jamerson took over your rig. The chrome pickup cover and chrome bridge cover are pristine, both in the unopened candy bag. We didn’t want to break the bag open, so we left that to you. This is a collector’s find or a player’s dream. Either way, you will not find a finer vintage ‘80’s ’57 Precision Bass.
