Built by Francisco Gorgé Soler in Alicante, this instrument comes from a workshop that is deeply rooted in the Torres tradition and at the same time developed its very own, regionally influenced style.

Francisco Gorgé Soler (born in 1863) continued the craft of his father Ramon Gorgé Molina, who enjoyed a high reputation as a guitar maker, musician and instrument tuner and who even carried out repair work on an Antonio de Torres guitar. This close connection to musical practice is also reflected in Francisco Gorgé's instruments: they are not only remarkable in terms of craftsmanship, but above all have a convincing sound and are built to be played.

The Francisco Gorgé 1905 classical guitar on offer here clearly stands out from conventional concert guitars.
