Up for grabs is this completely re-fabricated Celestion G12K-100 LOUDspeaker..... And- I mean LOUD speaker!!!

***EACH PURCHASE IS FOR A SINGLE UNIT****

* (I listed these as B stock, since there is no " completely overhauled/operates like new" option, and so that I can offer more than 1)

**. (I have several dozen of these to rebuild... I can custom build you a unit to YOUR specs,,,,,, if you want a different cone, a different dust cap(even aluminum), or different impedances, I can offer custom built speakers as well)... I was told that these were used on the Raskins/Motley Crue/Alice Cooper tour here in Ohio around 11 years ago!......sooooo, I bought all of them!

It was COMPLETELY re-fabricated at PMR in Ohio, with all new OEM/ AMERICAN made components....

***There are NO after market,,, replacement, or import/Chyna made crap, but ONLY AMERICAN components....***

The magnetic gaps were verified with a gauss/flux probe and measured just fine.So, I wanted to keep them on their original; vintage charges...

Then- the fun began... I'll itemize each component used......

* Front mounting gaskets- These are the OEM Celestion type foam rubber gaskets... Standard 4 bolt mounting pattern

*Litz wires- I opted for the cost of pure COPPER Litz wires....If you measure a length of the silver stuff, and then the copper with a square wave generator, and O-scope, you'll see why I ONLY use COPPER Litz wires on ALL of our new builds, rebuilds, fabrications, and repairs. There's a BIG difference.

*Spider assembly... A high compliance (loose) treated textile spider assembly with a FLAT profile was used....Nothing too far out of the ordinary with these.....

* Dust caps-- These are a re-pressed pulp material, with a lip up design, and smooth, deep dome appearance. I wanted a smooth/hard radiating surface to enhance the upper midrange frequencies, which a stock screen type will not do..

*Voice Coils- These are VERY high quality coils... Pure copper ( NONE of that CCAW crap!) windings, in a 2 layer design..... The formers are the real NOMEX material, so you'll get that "Power-Vintage" tonality when used with the cones I chose......Each is 8 Ohms, and although the OEM Kapton former coils in these large magnet G12K100 frames were good for 100 watts, I'd dial it back to the 50-60 watts each range just to be safe... They'd probably take more than that, but I'd say 50 - 60 to be safe...

*Hook Up- I simply kept the OEM tab/ spade terminal hook ups there to use.

* Cones- these are the star of the show!... These are AMERICAN made full paper SEAMED cones , 5L06914 is the cone number...They are a "fixed edge" type, and have the paper surrounds and the cone as a single cone piece like original Celestion cones.....They only weigh 12 grams, are neck dipped, and are also LIGHTLY treated surrounds, just like the originals... They are light weight, strong, stiff, nimble, and sound GREAT with a little "bell", and "chime" to them.... if you liked the original tonality- you'll LOVE this version!

That about sums it up for the descriptions on the parts..

*Fully tested and operates flawlessly!!!

AAAAND- I'm confident enough that you'll LOVE what you just bought, that I am including my 15 day "NO GAMBLE" return option from delivery date (((less customer damage))) if for ANY REASON you simply don't like them, or you dis-agree with ANY of this!

So, if ya' want a killer sounding 12" with an American flavored "Power-Vintage" tonality that is GREAT for leads and "crunch", at a fraction of a new unit.......then here ya' go!!!
