🎸 1964 Gretsch 6118 Double Anniversary – 2‑Tone Smoked Green

Up for sale is a wonderfully preserved example of a mid‑’60s Double Anniversary — Gretsch’s elegant, no‑nonsense hollowbody that delivers all the chime, warmth, and punch you’d expect from this era.

Condition:  

Overall, the guitar is in very good vintage condition. It’s completely straight, structurally sound, and plays beautifully with that unmistakable Gretsch feel. The electronics are original and operate exactly as they should, and the guitar sounds fantastic—open, lively, and resonant.

There are a couple of honest vintage quirks worth noting:

• The original pickguard is missing.
• Some binding degradation is present in spots (a common issue with Gretsch guitars from this period). Please check the photos for close‑ups.

Aside from those cosmetic points, the guitar is impressively clean and original throughout.

Case:  

Includes the original hardshell case, which is fully functional but missing the Tolex/vinyl covering on the entire bottom half. The structure is intact and it still protects the guitar well.
