The year is confirmed by the serial number E108041 (E1 series – early 1980s, Fullerton production).

This model comes from the short and now highly respected period of the Lead series – a straightforward, no-nonsense Fender, built in the USA before the line was discontinued.

The guitar has been thoughtfully upgraded, without compromising the original character of the instrument.

Classic Lead body, bolt-on maple neck with maple fingerboard. The neck has a comfortable, typically Fender feel – fast, stable and predictable.

At the bridge, the original Fender Lead I humbucker remains – punchy, clear and focused with a strong attack.
A Seymour Duncan mini humbucker has been added in the neck position, providing a warmer, more compact tone and significantly expanding the usable sound range.

The bridge has been upgraded to a Babicz Full Contact Hardware unit, improving sustain and overall resonance compared to the stock bridge.
Tuners are Sperzel locking tuners, offering excellent tuning stability and fast string changes.

Electronics are fully functional. The guitar plays cleanly across the entire fretboard.

Condition is very good for its age. Honest player wear and natural patina, no cracks, no structural repairs.
