Vintage Getzen Super Deluxe Cornet. Cornet is in perfect playing condition but has extensive finish damage. All slides and valves are in great functional condition. There is denting on the back of the horn as seen in picture. Comes with case and mouth piece.
The cornet has a very low serial number and it is very hard to pin an exact date of manufacture. Due to a factory fire at Getzen, records pre 1963 were lost. As far as I can tell, the manufacturer date is early to mid 1950s at the latest. Though it’s very possible it could be earlier, possibly 1930s onward.
