A 1957 Fender Precision Bass 2-Tone Sunburst is a rare, collectible model known for being one of the first to feature the now-iconic split-coil pickup, a Stratocaster-style headstock, and a large gold-anodized pickguard. The body was typically made of alder, and the one-piece maple neck had a "soft V" profile. The 1957 model year introduced these significant redesigns, with some examples being produced late in the year.
