This is the NT1-A studio microphone from Rode produced in Australia beginning in 2003. The finish is rough but, it works and sounds very good. It is hotter than most quality mics and has no pad switch so depending on your equipment and how you use it, you’re probably going to need to make adjustments lessening the input gain. It is a condenser microphone so it requires phantom power to work. The bands suspending the shock mount are just doubled medium sized rubber bands.
