R. C. Kelly The Beatles Fretless Solid Body Violin Electric Bass Guitar (Art)

Crafted using old NYC wood construction as per Rick Kelly's typical builds. It's solid body design is

completely unique commemorating The Beatles, with a mix of artist techniques from etching, wood

burnishing and acrylic paint. The face of the body is beautifully decorated commemorating the

different albums by the legendary band presumably by Cindy Hulej. Images of Rubber Soul, Sgt

Peppers Revolver and more are depicted on the front and back of the instrument to an expert level

of detail. Fittingly, the body is designed with inspiration from The Beatles famed " Beatle Bass", but

using a more simple solid body construction. This instrument is truly a work of art, but does function

as an electric instrument with a simple wrap around tailpiece, and Hofner style neck pickup. The

fretless neck is built out of maple with an ebony fretless fingerboard - making its construction much

more simple, showcasing the artistry more than the playability. It is quite heavy. Hip shot Clover

tuners and the electronics function as they should. This is certainly a piece of artwork suitable for

any guitar collector, fan of the Beatles or fan of old New York.
