Fender Japan ST68-TX Stratocaster – Made in Japan (circa 2008–2009)

For sale is a Fender Japan ST68-TX Stratocaster, originally purchased by me in 2011 from Ishibashi in Tokyo.

I’m selling this one as I own several Stratocasters and this one shares the same finish as another I’m keeping.

This one is all-original and is in superb condition other than a few very very minor scratches/dings around the edge of the body. It has been a working guitar in my studio and has played on a number of great Australian records.

This is a late-’60s reissue model with factory Texas Special pickups and is a higher-tier Fender Japan domestic model. Has that 70s style headstock with the caps and larger size.

Condition

• Neck is flawless – straight, smooth, and fast, with no dents or wear

• Frets are in excellent shape - hasn't been played a whole lot really

• A few very minor dings and light scratches around the body edges only

• No marks on the front of the body

• Any marks visible in photos look worse than they are and reflections make it hard to photograph!

Overall, this is a very clean example of a late-2000s MIJ Strat.

Includes original gig bag as photographed - the outer pocket of the case needs a new zip (it is missing).
