Mortillaro Zen is based on a Gibson L-00 Nick Lucas model being a standard L-00 but deeper, 4 1/4" (108mm). The whole theme of the guitar was inspired by the work of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

The body is constructed from Koa wood and the top is German spruce. Coated in a hand applied shellac French polish. The scalloped and tuned X bracing pattern is all German spruce. The guitar features a small tone versi that extends off the neck block. The curly mahogany neck has koa and brass inlay down the ebony fingerboard holding 20 frets and all bound in grained ivroid. The guitar features a players sound port that can be opened and closed depending on the tonal preference of the player. The player is greeted with a beautiful wooden koa tree inlayed into the inside of the guitar visible through the side port. A bright guitar with amazing clarity and note speration. Phenomenal projection, this guitar moves air, placing a hand over the open side port and you can feel the air this guitar moves.

This guitar is a wonder for the senses to play, hear and look at. Built with an amazing attention to detail. This is a one of one guitar and another will never be made like it again. Includes a beautiful tweed hardshell case. Please reach out with any questions
