D'Angelico's flagship archtop, the EXL-1 offers woody, articulate tone, ideal for both rhythm and lead playing. Featuring a redesigned neck with a more sleek and easy-playing profile (8.0" thick @ 1st fret / 9.0" thick @ 12th fret), this hollow-body archtop is a fantastic player with the perfect balance of playability and handfit. The floating mini-humbucker does a great job of translating the guitar's natural tone with a bit more emphasis from the body's top resonance when plugged in and features pickguard mounted controls for volume and tone. Aside from the excellent playability and tone of this guitar, it shows off its looks too with a retro art deco bridge and a gorgeous flame maple back & sides. Includes the original hardshell case.
