National Resophonic Vintage Reissue Style N 2001

Guitar is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition. Only some minor issues described here. Reissue of the original model manufactured by National. Identical to a Style O without the Hawaiian etchings, it is a slightly more sober design. It has a beautiful tone and is in excellent overall condition.  I have recently installed a new National cone.  It also comes with a new National bridge and saddle so the buyer can set up the action to suit themselves.  Also included is an extra national slotted nut, truss rod cover, correct 1/8" Allen wrench for the truss rod and a new set of John Pearse acoustic nickel medium strings.  I have strung it with John Pearse Phosphor Lights.  This is what National ships their guitars with these days.  I haven't used 12's on a resonator before but the phosphor I think has a mellower sound and the fact there is more string vibration creates move volume as well.  If you are using a magnetic pickup though, nickel has it's advantages.  The previous owner had the neck replaced at National early last year.  So it has a modern truss rod, as opposed to the original one which tightened counter clock wise.  I have not been able to play this too much due to some unexpected medical and financial problems, but it is a beautiful sounding guitar.  The case has the Smith and Young Logo on it.  Smith and Young was a spider cone guitar line National produced some years ago, but is not discontinued.  The case if beautifully built and a perfect fit.  The exterior has one clasp missing on the back, and there is some small amount of tarnion sh/rust on some of the clasps which I think can be remedied with some metal polish.  You will note in the photos there are no cover plate screws; I forgot to reinstall them before I took the photos. i do have them. They are actually a little smaller on these reissues than on other national guitars, and I just got a dozen from them which are included.
