All of the hardware is original and functions perfectly. This guitar recently underwent a full inspection, professional cleaning, and setup by our shop and is ready to rock! The guitar is structurally sound and plays well. Action is set to .06" with no fret buzz. Minor cosmetic wear and tear is evident on the body and neck appropriate to a guitar over 50 years old. Please inspect photos carefully.

The vintage 1960s Vox Meteor V233 is an entry-level solid-body electric guitar known for its unique vintage charm, single-coil pickup, and lightweight design. Manufactured for the famous Vox company between 1966 and 1968 in Italy by Eko for the American market, it was Vox's least expensive solid body option in the mid-to-late 60s.

The Vox Meteor V233 and the similar Super Meteor V242 (which added a vibrato tailpiece) were part of a line of guitars named after British fighter planes. They were designed to be simple, functional, and affordable alternatives to US-made Fenders.

Unique Tone: Reviewers note a warm, resonant, and "fatter than any single coil guitar has a right to sound" tone, making it suitable for blues or jazz styles. The overall sound is described as having the bright, jangly character Vox guitars are known for.

Playability: The neck has a medium "C" profile and generally plays well with low action, though the quality could be "hit or miss" as with many medium-priced models of the era. This instrument intones properly and has relatively low action, making it an easily playable instrument.
