National Resophonic ResoRocket Cutaway Wood Body 

I bought this guitar new in May 2025 and have used it very little.  It is truly in “as-new” condition. I’ve looked it over very carefully and cannot find a blemish on the guitar or the case. I listed the guitar as “excellent” because even though I cannot find a blemish, you might see it differently. It has never been gigged and has spent it's life with me in my smoke-free, climate-controlled studio. 

It is very alive and resonant with great dynamic range. The trebles are very clear and respond beautifully to a slide or fingers.  This guitar is nicely balanced on the leg, if you want to play it sitting down, which I do.  You might know that many Nationals, especially the metal ones, can be lower bout heavy and not as comfortable to play while seated.

The mahogany-bodied ResoRocket WB combines the lovely sonority of a wooden body in a Bendaway single-cone instrument to create a unique National guitar. Mahogany provides a warm, rich tone as well as distinctive style. The neck too is made of mahogany, capped by an ebony fretboard with ivoroid binding and dot markers. With the upper bout modified for easier access to the higher frets, this is both a versatile and beautiful-sounding National.

I have two other Nationals that I love and I do not need this one, so I’ve decided to sell it. 

This guitar lists for $4,700, and National is pretty rigid about allowing their dealers to discount too much. 

I’m selling this guitar for $3,250 which I think is a very good price considering it is quite new, almost unplayed, and in “as-new” condition.  If this is the guitar you’ve been looking for then I don’t think you can find a better price.
