For sale we have a Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom in Translucent Red finish with original Gibson Custom branded hardshell case. Made in the USA. The guitar is all-original to the best of our knowledge and in very good used condition overall. The body shows moderate cosmetic wear with light surface scuffs, and scratches and a handful of small dings and dents scattered throughout from normal use over the last decade and a half. There are two small areas on the edges of the bridge and lead pickup cover where the gold plating has been worn through from the picking hand of previous owners. The neck is in great shape showing wear only on the face of the headstock with lots of small scratches from string changes. The frets do show a moderate amount of play wear with light grooving beneath the plain strings on frets 1-7 but notes still ring clean and clear with no dead spots or buzzing. Good life left in them. Overall an instrument that has been played and enjoyed but not abused. Structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. This Les Paul Custom features a 24 3/4” scale length, solid Mahogany body with Maple top, bound top and back, 4-ply black pickguard, equipped with it~s original pair of Gibson PAF hunbucking pickups, a 490R in the neck position and a 498T in the lead position, each pickup has a dedicated volume snnnbfhrnjgold hardware and a Tune-O-Matic stop tail bridge. The Mahognay neck features a comfortable round 1950’s C-shape profile measuring .820” deep at the first fret and .970” deep at the twelfth fret. Width at the nut measures 1 11/16”. The bound Rosewood fingerboard features a 12” radius, pearl inlaid block fret markers and 22 medium jumbo frets. The neck is straight and plays great. Truss rod access is located at the headstock beneath the Les Paul Custom branded truss cover. It turns smoothly in both directions and functions as intended. The headstock sports pearl inlaid Gibson and Diamond logos and gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. The guitar weighs in at 9 lbs. 6.5 oz. It will be properly packed with care prior to shipment.
