This is a 2003 Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue (R8) featuring a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, making it one of the most desirable and collectible early-2000s Historic Reissues. These 2003 Brazilian models are well known for their limited production, excellent wood selection, and collectability because of it.
The guitar is very clean and 100% ORIGINAL, showing only a few rivet marks on the back and a couple small dings, all pictured. The Washed Cherry Sunburst finish looks fantastic, with pretty unusual light, tasteful figuring that shows up at the right angles—classic understated ’58 style. The neck is the expected big, round 1958 profile.
This one comes from the original owner and includes the original near-mint case, all paperwork, and matching-number documents exactly as it left Gibson Custom in 2003.
A prime example for collectors, investors, and anyone looking for a premium Brazilian-board Les Paul with excellent playability and tone.
