This flute comes to us from a large collection of a local player/collector who is downsizing their collection (and are very open to reasonable offers). Wm. S. Haynes Regular/Commercial Model LP (Low Pitch) CL G#, Serial #8054. Made 1924 in Boston, MA. Previous owner purchased it in refurbished condition, and pads/corks are still in great shape. The flute could use an overall clean/polish (sold as-is).
Solid Sterling Silver, including all joints and mechanisms. .016 body, drawn rolled tone holes, closed G# mechanism, C foot. Sterling Silver rise, lip plate, and crown. Low Pitch plays to about A=435.
It is likely that this flute is not all-original. The end cap doesn't have the beaded crown that is characteristic of Haynes flutes - but it is also a very early model. Additionally, the foot joint has a different number etched (though it appears "matched" otherwise).
