I acquired this beautiful 1965 Guild Starfire III from a local guitar collector and it is truly a pro guitarists dream guitar. It was restored , modified and improved in the mid 70's and since kept in pristine condition. It is all original ( body, neck, electronics, neck pickup and Bigsby/Guild tail piece) with the exception of the tuners, which over the years became less then perfect so I replaced them with new ones of the same style as the old. I also added a new pickguard, that could be removed if you wanted. The bridge pickup was replaced back in the 70's with a Gibson mini humbucker , that is perfectly matched to the Guild neck pickup with a resistance of 7.01. This pickup today goes for around 500$ and it really shows when you hear the sound that comes from it. My goal was to make this guitar not only beautiful but incredibly playable. The artwork and finish on this guitar makes it unique and one of a kind. It does come with the original case that is functional but pretty road worn. There are tons of videos on Youtube on this classic guitar made famous by countless guitarists.
