First-year Telecaster Bass - 1968 "Paisley Red"!

Introduced in 1968 as Fender's first reissue model, the Telecaster Bass is a reproduction of the original 1951 Precision Bass. It faithfully follows vintage specifications such as a one-piece maple neck, back-through two-way saddles (nickel-plated from 1954 onwards), and single-coil pickups, while also featuring period-specific paddle tuning machines and gray bobbins, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.

This instrument is a particularly rare 1968 "Paisley Red" Telecaster Bass.
This rare colorway was produced in limited quantities for just two years, from 1968 to 1969, reflecting the era of the "Flower Movement" and "Psychedelic Culture" in America.

The top and back of the body are covered in paisley-pattern wallpaper, which is then overlaid with a clear veneer for improved archival durability.

While Telecaster Bass is typically made of ash, like the Original Precision Bass, this particular instrument features a somewhat rare alder body, resulting in a warmer, more resilient tone.

Includes pickup covers, bridge cover, finger rest, and even the original hard case. All of the pickups and pots remain original, making this a truly collector's item.

The nut and frets have been replaced. The fingerboard and neck grip have also been refinished. While there are signs of wear, such as peeling paint, these details all speak to the bass's "living history." Despite being a single-coil bass, it delivers a surprisingly thick, solid mid-low range.

The Telecaster Bass' unique character shines through, setting it apart from the standard Jazz Bass and Precision Bass. The rich '60s Fender sound, particularly delivered by the alder body, is a sound that immediately makes you feel like you can use it.

The one-of-a-kind "Paisley Red" Telecaster Bass exudes a unique presence.
Its stunning looks and sound, combined with the fact that only a very limited number of them are available worldwide, make it a must-have.
If you miss this chance, there's no guarantee you'll ever see one again.
