This is an always on type of pedal. I will always have one of these on my pedal board....always.
This vintage one here from 1999 is something extra special before the LED lights on these and has a special tone that they literally just do not make anymore!
It brings forth a magical clarity that you can not only hear, but definitely feel when its turned on.
The SHO is a true bypass pedal so there is no buffer when it's turned off. The reason why it's so sparkly is because of its high input impedance, and when you turn the knob you're re-biasing the MOSFET, which is why you get that crackle as the transistor cycles itself.
