Custom Built Multi Amplifier Splitter Controller MIDI Iso Tranformers Axess Electronics

I had this custom amp controller splitter built around 2003. It was built by a good friend and employee Art James Reno. Art was well known in the Orange County/ Los Angles area as an amp tech repair guy and also did mods and built a few ground up amps for us that went to a very famous player. Before coming to work for me, Art also built a lot of custom rigs for Lab Sound in Garden Grove in the early 90’s, custom rigs for touring musicians and enthusiast.

I had this unit built with a definite rig in mind but also it had a lot of expansion capability for future changes. It features 3 of the Axcess Electronic loop/switcher units. They were modified slightly for the job and Mario of Axess collaborated. These were the best unit’s I ever heard and I had had a number of others before going with Axess. It’s been a long time since I have used this unit. I kept it always thinking I would put the big rig back together again. It was in a rack that also had a number of sliding rack shelves with a lot of pedals and an Axess unit or two on each shelf that also interfaced with this main controller/splitter. I don’t remember all of the ins and outs but I used four amps and I had a 5th available as well. I had a sub bass system that also interfaced with this thus the sub output. There is also a main XLR DI and DI’s on all of the amp outputs for a crazy amount of flexibility and options. There is a loop for a wah or whatever. There are 16X isolation transformers. These are the same ones two of the biggest rig builders in the business use. All of the audio cable is George Ls which is what I have used for decades. All of the jacks are USA Made Switchcraft.

You will have to do a bit of backward engineering to put this back into operation. Power is standard 9 volt negative tip like Boss. A high quality power source is recommended, like a Pedal Power 2 etc.

This would cost a small fortune to have built now and took a lot of time and expense when it was put together.
