Up for sale is a fantastic example of an early 1990s Grover Jackson Dinky DKA-55W, built at the highly respected Chushin Gakki factory in Japan during the era when Grover Jackson-branded instruments were produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market. These MIJ bolt-on models have quietly become cult favorites thanks to their build quality, playability, and distinctive finishes — and this one is easily among the cleanest and coolest we’ve had!
Finished in PSG (Pewter Silver Grey), a rare and very attractive metallic tone that subtly shifts between silver, grey, and green depending on the light. Factory finish, original throughout, and exceptionally well-preserved. There are a few tiny dings scattered around and then some general swirling and light scratching in the clear coat from handling and cleaning but that’s about it. See pics for condition and please excuse any reflections.
The neck heel and body pocket both carry matching DKA-55W factory stamps, confirming this as an original, unmodified example. Electronics, hardware, pickups, tremolo, and wiring harness all remain factory stock.
Playability is excellent. The neck has a fast, comfortable profile with a nut width and thickness that will feel familiar to anyone who enjoys early-90s superstrats. Frets are in great condition with plenty of life only showing light wear on frets 1-7 mostly under the plain strings. The nut width is 1.625”. The neck thickness is .725” at the 1st fret and .795” at the 12th fret. The fingerboard radius is 12”. The guitar weighs 7lbs 11.0oz.
