I custom ordered this NOS ‘64 Tele Custom through Dave’s Guitars in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, in 2018. It is meant to look like Buck Owens and Don Rich’s matching silver sparkle Teles. Visual features include matching headstock, double black binding, maple cap board and threaded steel saddles. High performance upgrades include 9.5” radius, quartersawn neck, medium-jumbo frets, sorted for light weight and overwound pickups.
I have gigged this guitar lightly since it arrived. It has a few marks, all pictured, including a slight ding on the binding, another one near the jack and some weird marks I typically get on Teles between the bridgeplate, pickguard and control plate. The fret have over 85% of their life left, with only some minor surface pitting, mainly in the cowboy chord area, also pictured. The weight is 8 lbs. even. This Telecaster has been professionally set up and sounds like a million bucks!
These guitars sell for $4K brand new and they very rarely pop up used. Save a bundle on a gently used one!
**I ended this listing a while back... gonna try it again.
