Up for sale is this great 1978 Fender USA telecaster in what is considered a custom color black for the time of build.

The Tele has some weight at 10.48lbs but is a fantastic guitar!

The guitar is in overall good shape but does show signs of use.

It has a few chips that go down to wood, or the red primer finish they used on some of the builds in this era.

There is a spot on the face of the guitar by the controls that a strap had laid on top of the guitar in its case which left an imprint. The body also has various dings and some buckle rash on the back of the guitar. We tried to picture it as best as possible.

The pickups are original, but it appears that the pots were replaced with units from 79.

It may be that the guitar was started in the end of 78 and finished in the first few weeks of 79. The solder joints have been tampered with, so I do believe they were replaced.

The pickguard I also believe was replaced many years back.

The body has no extra routes or holes.

The neck is very comfortable and is a little bit thicker but very comfortable.

The frets are in great shape with minimal wear and every note rings loud and clear.

Guitar will be shipped in its original Fender Molded case
