2010 Edwards E-FR-120B Forest – See-Through Black Shred Monster
“Pointy, growly, and stupidly good-looking. This thing eats 5-strings for breakfast.”
If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a Japanese-made ESP Forest that looks like liquid obsidian poured over sweet ash, stop scrolling. This is the one.
Built in 2010 during the absolute peak of the Edwards golden era, this E-FR-120B is finished in glassy See-Through Black that lets the dramatic grain of the ash body peek through under the light. The grain pops so hard it looks wet – pure sex in bass form.
Cosmetic condition: Strong Player’s Grade+
It’s been gigged and loved exactly the way a pro-level bass should be. You’ll find:
- A few small dings on the edges and wing tips (nothing into the wood)
- Some light surface scratches and pick swirls on the top
- A few tiny finish chips
No cracks, no repairs, no headstock breaks, no issues. Just honest battle scars on a 15-year-old metal machine that still looks killer under stage lights.
Playing condition: ABSOLUTELY DIALED – Fresh Pro Setup
This bass just got the full treatment from one of the best techs in town:
- Action: Stupid low, fast as hell
- Neck: Dead straight, perfect relief
- Frets: Leveled, crowned, polished
- New set of fresh 45-130 strings (perfect tension, growls like a demon)
- Tuners rock-solid, zero slip
Plug it in and prepare to lose friends. The B string is tight and piano-like, the slap tone is ridiculous, and the mid boost on the EQ will make your amp beg for mercy. This thing does modern metal, progressive funk, old-school rock – whatever you throw at it, it just snarls back harder.
These Edwards Forests in See-Through Black almost never hit the used market – especially neck-thru with EMG power. When they do, they’re gone in minutes.
If you want the ultimate “looks like a $4k+ Custom Shop but plays and sounds even meaner” metal/modern bass… this is it.
First serious buyer takes home the baddest pointy bass you’ll ever own.
DM now – don’t make me keep it. I’m dangerously close to doing exactly that. 🔥

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
