Guild DV6 HG Cedar Dreadnought (1997, U.S.A. – Westerly, RI)

• Model & Origin: Guild DV6 High Gloss (“HG”) dreadnought, built in Westerly, Rhode Island, 1997 — a U.S.-made instrument from Guild’s solid‑wood DV series.
• Top / Body Woods: Rare cedar top (rather than the more common spruce), with mahogany back and sides, all solid wood construction, fully bound with cream‑colored binding.
• Finish: Gloss high‑gloss nitro or gloss lacquer finish; original finish remains intact with only minor superficial wear (small, marks on the finish as shown in the pictures) — no cracks or repairs, no weather checking.
• Neck & Hardware: Mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard & bridge (or equivalent), stock tuners — guitar has been well maintained; frets and fretboard show little wear.
• Sound / Tone: Cedar top gives a slightly warmer, more “open” tonal character — rich midrange, balanced dreadnought projection, yet with a subtle vintage vibe. Great for finger‑style, singer‑songwriter work, open tunings, or rich strumming.
• Condition: Very good — only minor cosmetic flaws typical of honest use (small dings/marks on glossy finish) but structurally and functionally solid; no repairs or structural issues. Case has some scratch as shown in the picture
