Incredible 1942 Conn 26M with an outstanding and brand new overhaul on it from Aaron Barnard (side note: what an absolute genius he is).
I bought the horn on a whim just to see if it could be restored and how good a Conn could play (never put any time on a Conn alto). I didn’t know quite what to expect when I got this horn back on Sunday, 11/23/25. I assumed it was going to be OK, but I didn’t know that it would be a truly excellent horn. It’s super easy to get up and down, it takes all of the mouthpieces I wanted to put on it (I like the Morgan Kind of Blue on it best), and the intonation is pretty solid. I also can’t believe how fast you can get around on it, and the pinky table is actually super comfortable. I would have loved this back when I was playing regularly and seriously back in the day.
Aaron did fabricate new rollers for it since the originals were falling apart. Resos are flat metal with a rivet in the middle.
USA only. PPFF or Venmo. I would prefer local pickup but would consider shipping at buyer’s expense, and will pack it with extreme care and solid materials.
