2002 Neve 88RS. Formerly used at the Korea Broadcast Service. Was decommissioned as part of a technology refresh after 20 years in service. I purchased this intending to replace our existing console, but due to some life changes, have had to shift priorities and let it go. This unit comes with preamps, compression, gate, EQ and lots of routing and mini faders on every channel. I have only partially tested it. Power supplies work and it powers up. It takes two 220v breakers. I've spot tested a few modules and the preamps/compressor/gate/eq worked as they should. I have not tested aux's/routing/center section functionality. Whoever buys this will need to understand how to commission and run a Neve desk, or have a strong understanding of audio electronics and experience with consoles. This is not a first timers desk, it's a very comprehensive and elaborate system. It will come with owners manual, service manual and full set of schematics, so the owner will have the necessary information to re-comission it
When it was shipped to me, all center section modules were disconnected and removed. I've reconnected them all, but all my work will need checked for accuracy, as well as all the us bar wiring on the back side. This is the broacaster configuration and does not have automation. It comes with three powerr supplies with one of the being a backup. It runs on two of them. One of the power supplies has two PCB's that each had a resistors fail and burn out. There's a small burned area on each PCB beneath where the original component was. I've replaced the components and it seems to run fine. The other two supplies run well and power the console correctly. The fans on those are a bit noisy due to age and should be updated. There are three channel strips missing, so there are 45 channels (all 48 faders are there). Cosmetically, there is some damage to the left wooden end piece as seen in the photo. There are some other nicks on both wooden end pieces. These could easily be repaired by a woodworker/craftsman. The blank panel that covers the spot by the VU meters where the display would go didn't come with. A replacement blank could be easily made DIY or likely Neve would sell a replacement. There are a few knob caps missing. Neve still sells this desk, and there's a dealer in the states, so parts are readily available. Each module has connectors on the backside that will need to be wired to patchbays. When it was decommissioned, the previous owner left about a foot of wire when they cut all the audio wires, so you can see the wire numbers. There is very comprehensive patchbay wiring and labelling dielagrams in the owners manual. Buyer pays for freight. It'll come in two wood crates. Price will be around $1,500-$2,000 for freight in the US.
