This model features a carved mahogany top paired with a solid, non–weight-relieved mahogany body, producing the dark, resonant warmth and sustain that made the original Customs legendary. The one-piece mahogany neck is shaped to the updated ’57 neck profile, offering a substantial but exceptionally comfortable feel that suits both rhythm and lead work. A meticulously fitted ebony fingerboard, attached using hot hide glue just like the originals, provides a smooth, articulate playing surface with a 12" radius, pearl block inlays, and 22 frets. Traditional multi-ply white/black binding extends across the top, back, headstock, and fingerboard, giving the guitar its iconic, highly appointed appearance.
Sonically, the 1957 Les Paul Custom VOS delivers vintage tonal authority thanks to a pair of Custom Bucker pickups, engineered to capture the clarity, warmth, and harmonic complexity of late-’50s PAFs. With 2 Volume, 2 Tone controls, and a 3-way toggle switch, players can access a wide range of expressive tones—from smooth, velvety jazz textures to biting, articulate rock lead tones. Premium gold hardware enhances the instrument’s stately character, featuring an ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and vintage-correct Kluson “Deluxe” tuners for stable performance and classic aesthetic authenticity.
