This Custom Shop ’63 Stratocaster takes one of the most inspiring eras in Fender’s history and adds a few elevated touches — including an AAA birdseye maple neck and a warm, chocolate-leaning take on a 3-tone sunburst. The Journeyman Relic treatment gives it honest, played-in character without going over the top: lacquer checking, light patina, and a feel that already feels familiar.

Hand-wound Fat ’60s pickups, period-correct early ’60s Oval “C” neck shape, and a round-lam rosewood board create that unmistakably sweet, woody, bell-clear Fender tone — with fast attack, glassy highs, and midrange body that responds beautifully whether you’re digging in or playing with a lighter touch. Vintage-style hardware, a mint guard, and light aging finish the look. This one nails vibe, feel, and tone in a very Texas-friendly package.
