The FSX5 Red Label revives Yamaha’s legendary 1960s folk guitars with modern craftsmanship and premium materials, all hand-built in Japan. Designed for players who want vintage character with modern reliability, this guitar blends tradition and innovation seamlessly.

The FS (Folk Size) body offers a comfortable mid-sized shape that’s perfect for fingerstyle or light strumming. Its solid Sitka spruce top is treated with Yamaha’s A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process, giving it a warm, “played-in” tone straight out of the case. Paired with solid mahogany back and sides, the FSX5 delivers rich lows, clear mids, and sparkling highs.

Equipped with the Atmosfeel pickup and preamp system, the FSX5 shines on stage and in the studio. This system blends a piezo sensor, mic modeling, and a contact sensor for natural acoustic sound when amplified, avoiding the harsh “quack” of typical pickups.
