Great playing tenor banjo here with tons of mojo!

Has seen a lot of play as evidenced by the wear on the fingerboard.

I assume it has been refretted at some point, as the frets are in great shape. Neck is perfect, nice comfortable action level.
The serial numbers on the neck, pot, and resonator all match.

Includes what I assume is the original hard shell case, but at some point the owner had sprayed the case with what I think is an automotive plasti-dip or something similar. It still works great, closes tight and all of the latches are functional. wild.

The flange on this is a bunch of individual engraved pieces. At some point a previous owner removed two of them and put in a well cut piece of aluminum with a 1/4" jack mounted on it that is hooked up to some sort of internal mic. Presumedly the same owner put in the piece of rope behind the hooks to make for a secure strap attachment, actually a great solution for carrying the weight of the banjo.

There is a small chunk of fingerboard binding missing on the bottom side of the neck. The top binding has position dots drawn on.

It has a simple brass tone ring. It will cut as hard as any banjo i have ever heard.

It has the (presumedly) original friction peg tuners with the super cool ivoroid knobs. It holds tune very well.

The resonator is in great shape and has fake tortoise binding that is still secure. THere are some dings and smudges.

The neck is a comfortable V shape with a power stripe. I can not tell if it is a three piece neck or if that is just painted on.

One little detail that really gets the vibe of this banjo is the j hook that had broken and got welded it back together. Somebody really loved this instrument.

I figured my affection for swing guitar and mandolin would transfer over into tenor banjo, it just didnt happen. Im not in a huge hurry to sell this but hopefully I can find its new home with someone that will give it the attention it deserves.

Instrument is also for sale locally.
