If you’re looking for a high quality archtop for half the price of a Gibson Super 400, boy, this is IT. Here we have a 2001 Heritage Super Eagle with a set of the rare and highly sought after HRW (Heritage Ren Wall) pickups. If you know, you know. These pickups aren’t being made any more and are highly sought after by the Heritage cognoscenti. And, as a bonus, a factory Bigsby! How many of those have you seen?! It can do anything from Kenny Burrell to Merle Travis to Scotty Moore.
The Super Eagle is an all-carved archtop guitar made with a spruce top, maple back and sides, and a 5 piece maple neck. This is Heritage's answer to the Super 400. The Super Eagle shares the same top-of-the-line appointments and 18” body width, but its body is SLIGHTLY smaller (3” depth versus 3-⅜” and about a 1” shorter body length) making it more comfortable to hold.
Specs:
Scale length: 25-1/2”
Nut width: 1-11/16” (1.68”)
Neck depth at 1st fret: .78”
Neck depth at 9th fret: .93”
Neck shape: gentle D
Weight: 7.75 pounds
It is 100% original and unmodified. It’s in pretty good condition for a guitar that is old enough to run for Congress, but it does have a few little bumps and scratches on the body and the neck heel. (I have tried to document as many as I could in photos, but that is always a little tricky).
Includes original hard shell case. Reach out with any questions! Shipping cost includes the cost of insurance.
