This Johnson JD26 Carolina Series II All-Solid Dreadnought Acoustic is built for Bluegrass! It is in excellent condition and shows only very light wear from previous use. There are no large dings, dents, scratches, or obvious signs of wear anywhere on the guitar. The neck is reasonably straight, and the action is at nice medium action and comfortable, and the frets are in great shape! (The neck does pull down towards the body of the guitar near the end of the fingerboard....This does happen to a lot of acoustic guitars over time, especially if they are braced to sound like the old vintage models....)
This guitar will come complete with many guitars costing 2 or 3 times as much...Awesome all-solid Bluegrass Machine at an affordable price! Carolina Series II guitars have the same excellent features as the Series I, but with solid back and sides in mahogany, and a one-piece mahogany neck. The solid options for back and sides give the guitar a true bluegrass sound and body that's perfect for flatpicking. From traditional folk to progressive bluegrass, there are features on every Carolina to appeal to your acoustic style. These guitars feature a solid Engelmann spruce top, back and sides made of African mahogany or East Indian rosewood, classic fittings such as butterbean tuners and hand-cut abalone/M.O.P. detailing. The big, well-balanced tone on these guitars is exceptional especially because of the pre-war style construction. The fully scalloped forward-x bracing is a 1930's style that adds strength and resonance to lower registers and more clarity to the highs. Players of any style will definitely hear the difference in this all-solid pre-war style acoustic!

Detailing Dovetail Neck Joint Grained Ivoroid Binding One Piece Mahogany Neck Rosewood Fretboard Vintage-Style Beveled Pickguard Traditional Diamond Volute Bone Nut & Compensated Bone Saddle Snowflake Position Markers 14th Fret Neck Joint This particular guitar has a good set-up and plays great...It sounds great with a good neck angle, and almost zero fret wear.... This guitar has a passive under-saddle pickup installed that actually sounds quite nice...No Battery inside.... It does have a very thin crack on the back, and a very thin crack behind the bridge, but even though I don't see evidence that it is all the way through the wood, I would assume that it is...The one on the back is a little under 5" long.... The one behind the bridge is a little under 2" long.... Neither one affects the sound, and both are reasonably stable....
There is a passive undersaddle pickup installed, and it sounds really nice...I was pleasantly surprised...I don't know the brand, but I would assume that it is an early Fishman model...
Comes with a very nice polyfoam case that protects it very well....
