For sale is a beautifully clean, all-original 1996 Epiphone Casino, built at the renowned Terada Factory in Japan. Finished in a mellow, “watermelon” Cherry, this MIJ example showcases a dark Indian rosewood fretboard with fret-nibs—signature details of Terada’s exceptional craftsmanship.

Made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, these MIJ Casinos are widely regarded as some of the finest reissues ever produced, often outperforming later imports and standing confidently alongside American-made models in terms of build quality, playability, and tone.

This guitar has clearly been well cared for. Aside from a few light surface marks—mostly on the back—it remains in notably clean condition: the neck is straight, the frets show only minimal wear, and every component operates exactly as it should. The original hardware still carries a bright sheen with only minor tarnishing, and the stock electronics work perfectly. The iconic P-90s deliver that classic Casino voice—warm, articulate, and full of bite. Everything functions as intended, with no breaks or repairs. A noteworthy point it the insert for the bridge tone knob is missing.
