Introduced in 1962, the Dove—like the Hummingbird—is a showstopper! Unlike most Gibsons with a 24.75" scale, this model features a longer 25.5" scale. The back, sides, and neck are made of flamed maple, while the top is Sitka spruce and the fingerboard, with split parallelogram inlays, is rosewood. It proudly displays its signature dove on the pickguard, along with detailed appointments such as multi-ply bindings, an ornate bridge, and the crown inlay on the headstock. This one shows signs of playwear and has two repaired cracks on the sides. Sold in its original brown hard case with purple plush lining, exclusive to the 1994 Centennial models celebrating Gibson’s 100th anniversary.
