HISTORY:

1952 Gibson BR-6 vintage tube amp in perfect working order with a complete vintage tube set. Freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this BR-6 is the three-input version as redesigned by Gibson in 1948, pushing 12 watts via a pair of vintage RCA 6V6 power tubes through the Original Rola field coil 10" speaker.

The BR-6 was designed as a simple, budget-friendly option, often paired with Gibson's entry-level guitars. Its key features and specifications include:

  • Total Wattage: Approximately 10 watts of power delivered by two 6V6 power tubes.
  • Configuration: A single 1x10" combo cabinet.
  • Speaker: It typically features a 10-inch field-coil speaker, which contributes to its focused low end and quick attack.
  • Controls: The amp is notable for its simplicity, generally featuring a single volume control and two inputs, with some later models having three inputs and a tone control.
  • Cabinet: The amplifier has a distinct vintage look, housed in a brown fabric (Tolex on later models) covered cabinet with a three-grille front panel and a "G" logo.
  • Tone: Reviewers on Reverb praise the amp for its ability to produce clean, bright sounds at lower volumes and a "sweet sweet growly tone perfect for blues" when cranked up.

SHIPPING: This Amp will be shipped with the utmost care and love we will pull the Tubes separate from the Cabinet. We pride ourself on our packing shipping we have been selling on line and shipping all over the World for over 25 years now.
