Beautiful early-1964 Pre-CBS Jazzmaster in Surf Green, featuring clay dots, L-plate, and all the classic appointments from this highly desirable transitional period. This instrument has been professionally appraised in 2024 by Gruhn Guitars (Nashville) at $7,500, and I've added an additional Fender Guitar case for $200 for $7,700
Originality / Restoration Notes
The guitar is all original except for:
- Professional Refinished body (Surf Green)
- Replacement pickguard
- Replacement decal
- Replacement control knobs
- Professional refret
Everything else is original to the guitar, including:
- Alder offset-waist body
- Maple neck
- Brazilian rosewood veneer fingerboard with clay dots
- Pickups, pots, switches, electronics
- Bridge and tremolo assembly
- Whammy bar
- Tuning pegs (single-line Kluson Deluxe with metal buttons)
- L-serial number neck plate
