Commissioned Super Electric to build this Heathkit clone because my vintage one is finicky. I couldn’t be happier with this thing but I need money. I’ve had a lot of Jimmys pedals over the years and cant recommend them enough.
It’s very much like a fuzz face in my opinion, though when it’s starved it has a little more nonlinear character than say , the Earthquaker Eruptor. At 9 volts it’s a very smooth , hi gain fuzz - almost in overdrive territory. But if you have a way to sag/bias/voltage starve the power supply , it does that sputtery gated Velcro thing better than most fuzzes, with a lot of tones in between. To get the most of this , I would recommend a voltage starve.
Controls are fuzz and output volume.
Let me know if you want some samples.. I can either remap your guitar or do my own little demo quick at a few settings.
